1. How much weight can the Booklamp carry?
The Booklamp can hold a book up to 3 kg for over 30 years.
2.Is the Booklamp compatible with the voltage in my country?
Yes, it is. The transformer of the Booklamp is compatible with Voltages from 100 – 230 Volt and 50-60 Hz.
For example: United States have a Voltage of 120 V and 60 Hz. The United Kingdom 230 Volt and 50 Hz.
3. How is the ceiling cap mounted on the ceiling?
The ceiling cap consists of a metal bracket, which you attach in the ceiling with two screws. You can place it directly on top of the wiring socket in the ceiling, or any other place where you want to place it. Note that in this last option you would need to extend a wire to an electricity point (using an electric plug).
Now you attach the wiring of the lamp like you would with any other ceiling fixture. The wooden ceiling cap with the LED transformator inside can now easily be inserted on top of the metal bracket. This is fixed in place with two bolts, a little tool for this is provided with the Booklamp. We will enclose an instruction with the Booklamp.
4. Can the 2 meter wire length be adjusted?
Yes it can. 2 meters is the maximum length, that can be adjusted by two clips inside the ceiling cap. The extra wire can be rolled up inside the ceiling cap.
5. How can the lamp be switched on/off?
Once attached to the ceiling and electrical wiring, you can switch the lamp on and off using your light switch (on the wall).
You could also attach a wire with electric plug and/or a manual switch on the wire.
